Cancel a service
How to cancel a product from the client area, when it ends, and what to do about the data before the end date.
You cancel a service yourself in the client area. No ticket is needed.
The steps
- Open the productunder My Products & Services in the client area at my.novanode.eu.
- Click Request Cancellationin the Actions column on the left.
- Describe the reasonif you want to; it is optional. The Cancellation Type is End of Billing Period: the service keeps running until the date you have already paid for and then ends.
- Confirmwith the red Request Cancellation button. You receive a confirmation by e-mail.
Before the end date
Take your data out while the service is still running: a website export, a mail copy to another provider, a copy of the VPS disk. What happens to the data after the end date is in the Terms of Service. How to take each product's data with you is set out on Switching and export.
Domains
A domain name is not cancelled; it simply is not renewed. Disable auto-renewal on the domain, or transfer it to another registrar with the authorisation code from the domain's page.
