Mail settings for your phone or mail program

Where to find the server, ports and encryption for a NovaNode mailbox, and what to type in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or a phone.

Every mailbox at NovaNode is a normal IMAP account, so any mail program that supports IMAP and SMTP works with it.

Where the settings are

  1. Open the client areaat my.novanode.eu and go to the Mail product under My Products & Services.
  2. Click Mail settings. The page lists the incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server, the ports and the encryption for your domain. Copy them from that page; those are the values for your domain.
  3. Use the full address as username. The username is the complete mailbox address, for example info@example.lu, and the password is the mailbox password. Each mailbox has its own; if you lost it, Reset password next to the mailbox in the Mail panel sets a new one.

The server

Unless the Mail settings page says otherwise, the server for both directions is:

mail02-lux01.mikenetworks.com

It is the same name you see in your MX record. Most mail programs find the rest on their own once you type the address and password, because the autoconfig and _autodiscover records from the Mail DNS records article are in place.

Webmail

If you have no mail program at hand, webmail is at wmail.mikenetworks.com, or through the Webmail button on the product page. Log in with the same address and password.

Set up a new device with IMAP, not POP3. IMAP keeps mail on the server, so every device sees the same folders and the same read state.
