Which one?

If you have no preference, take Debian 12 or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Most guides on the internet assume one of the two, and both get security updates for years. The "Minimal" Debian images leave out everything you did not ask for and are a good base for a mail or web server you configure yourself. CloudLinux, cPanel, Plesk and DirectAdmin need licences that are not part of the VPS price.

Something else

An operating system that is not in the list can be installed from your own ISO image on request; open a ticket with the image and we take it from there.

Changing later

Options → Rebuild in the control panel installs any image from the list on the existing server. The disk is wiped in the process. Your SSH keys from the SSH Keys page are applied to the new installation; without a key, a new root password is e-mailed. Details in First login on your VPS.
