FreeBSD VPS

FreeBSD on a KVM server in Luxembourg.

Not every host offers it; we do: FreeBSD 15.0 is an image in the panel like any other, on KVM with virtio drivers, so it boots and runs without workarounds.

Why FreeBSD here

What you get with the FreeBSD image

A real image, not a hack
FreeBSD 15.0 is in the Rebuild list next to the Linux images. It installs the same way: pick it, wait a few minutes, log in as root. No nested virtualisation, no custom boot tricks.
KVM and virtio
The VPS is a KVM guest with virtio disk and network. FreeBSD ships those drivers in the base system, so disk and network run at native speed; ZFS on root works if you install it that way from your own ISO.
Another release? Bring the ISO
If you need 14-STABLE or a custom build, open a ticket with the ISO and we attach it; you install from the VNC console in the panel. The 15.0 image needs no ticket.

FAQ

Questions about FreeBSD on a VPS

FreeBSD 15.0, as listed in the panel today. The panel is the reference; when a new release is added it appears there first.

Yes. The panel gives a VNC console to the serial/VGA output, which is how you install from your own ISO or fix a boot problem without network.

TCP 25 and 465 are closed on every new VPS to keep our IP space off blocklists. Open a ticket if you need them and we look at your use.

Small print

Every order is governed by our Terms of Service. The product sections in it set the limits that matter in practice, such as what unlimited traffic means and when a plan is no longer suited to a workload.

Prices All prices are in euro. The switch in the top bar shows them with or without VAT. Consumers pay 17 % Luxembourg VAT; businesses with a valid EU VAT number outside Luxembourg are invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism; Luxembourg businesses pay 17 %. Prices and plan contents can change; the price shown in the client portal at the time of ordering applies.

1 VPS traffic VPS plans include unlimited ordinary traffic under the fair use policy in section 5.2.5 of the Terms of Service. The following monthly volumes are reference levels, not quotas: exceeding one is not a breach and does not trigger a charge by itself. Sustained use well above a reference level that affects the network or other customers may lead to a review and, where needed, an upgrade proposal or traffic management. The network port is shared; a displayed port speed is a maximum, not a guaranteed throughput.
